I do hope you're all feeling super ( and not ill like lots of people, although if you are please get better soon!! ) and having a good 2015!! Today's blogpost is a review of the Real Techniques Core Collection brushes ( l o v e ).
Soooo little ones, I received this set after wanting it for SO BLOODY LONG, and was very, very happy to finally have some new, fabulous brushes (lots of people recommended them to me so I thought I may as well join the hype too). The brushes are made from synthetic taklon fibres and I can only re-phrase this to you as THE SOFTEST THINGS EVER (ok al). As I was saying, these brushes are super soft and were actually designed by the YouTuber Sam Chapman (well done Sam you star) and since these brushes were released, they have had nothing but amazing reviews!!
In the core set you get:
1 x Pointed Foundation Brush
1 x Contour Brush
1 x Detailer Brush
1 x Buffing Brush (my fav!)
The brushes are super cute with an orangey/rose-gold colouring which just makes them look that bit more princess worthy (after all, we are all princesses).
The Pointed Foundation Brush
(I mentioned this brush in my 2014 favourites post which you should all check out!)
I use this brush for my concealer, and I think it does an excellent job, if used correctly. I have found that if you just try and simply stroke the concealer into the skin with this brush, it leaves streaky/brush lines which of course we do not want. So in order to get the best outcome, I dab the concealer into the skin with my brush and use the pointed tip to work it into the areas that need concealing and it works alllll good.
The Contour Brush
Now can I just say, that this brush is just THE SOFTEST AND MOST BEAUTIFUL LITTLE THING IVE EVER SEEN (?). This brush does its job perfectly, blending harsh contour lines into the skin with little effort with a flawless finish, fantastic. Highly recommend!!
The Detailer Brush
This little cute brush is fabulous (like you). I use this for highlighting my brow bone and it works beautifully when applying eyeshadow to the lower lash line. A fragile little brush that leaves a fragile finish (woop woop).
The Buffing Brush
Leaving the big beauty until last waheyy. So, I use this brush for my foundation at the moment, because it is just so brilliant!! I use circular motions with very light pressure and the buffing brush does just as it says...perfectly blends foundation into the skin, masking up my areas of redness and scarring with such a natural look!! Everything about these brushes leaves my skin looking so natural and that's why I cherish them so much!!! (cute)
I hope you enjoyed my review ( I really do, and if you did, or if you have any questions; be sure to leave me a comment and give me a cheeky follow, cheeky ) !! Also, I just thought it was worth mentioning that my tripod for my camera arrived today and omg I am so pleased with it!!! I'm thinking of perhaps starting a YouTube channel in the same style as my blog? what do you all think? PLEASE let me know as this is something I would adore doing!!!
LOTS OF LOVE ALWAYS,
Al x x x
